She dusted off the dirt from her jeans as she stood up. She breathed a sigh of relief just as she witnessed the huge light go down to give way to the night. The smooth gushing of the river lingered behind her ears. It’s been hours since she’d stayed and waited for her senses to grip back to the earth’s space. Her heart hurts, her eyes stung. She had just awakened, and her head felt heavy. Dry, battered and alone. She questions the air. She ridicules fate. She hates reality. Her breath mingled with the cool air. All her wishes to be unbothered merged, as she wanted to jump into the deep water and be lost forever. Her thoughts wandered if it would really happen.. Would she be anew? Would she be unknown? Would she be understood? She stared towards the opposite side, the thick branches of the trees of the woods swayed before her in voluntary abandon. The rustling of the leaves were freedom, jealousy creeps into her skin like vile poison. The wind cloaked her whole body, she never stirred to feel the shivering cold but instead, her feet stood grounded and unconscious. She hears a small voice behind her. There he was..asleep and undisturbed. She called out his name, his eyes blinked four times until he was able to create her profile from the blinding aura around her. He reached out for her hand and she gladly took it. Unminding everything else.
